WITH the heat wave we're experiencing in Singapore right now, the last thing you'd expect to see along the busy walkways of Orchard Road would be a house made of glass.

Luckily this 'glass house' is air-conditioned and provides more than just a respite from the heat.

Women's magazine Her World turns 50 this year and is celebrating by creating a glass house and collaborating with local designers on a range of T-shirts and bags.

Besides buying these designer bags and T-shirts, shoppers can also step into the glass house to get their hair or make-up done.

Not content with being the number one women's magazine in Singapore, Her World is working on making its presence felt in real life - and online.

'By the end of the month, we'll be launching an all new herworld.com with an all new look. It will feature our regular bloggers and lots of exciting things like polls and stories,' says Denyse Yeo, Deputy Editor of Her World.
