Eesha Koppikhar wants the intimate scenes

Eesha Koppikhar is upset at reports that she is not promoting her film, Right Ya Wrong, that releases this Friday. On the contrary, Koppikhar insists, she has just returned from publicising the thriller in Delhi, Lucknow and Aurangabad.

The actress also denies asking producer Subhash Ghai and director Neeraj Pathak to delete a few intimate scenes from the film, if they wanted her cooperation.

She snaps, “Ask Subhashji or anyone else in the team to give you the facts instead of listening to such gossip churned out by a section of the media.”

Although Koppikhar admits that the film took a while to complete, she asserts that despite the delay, it does not look dated. “After the setback, post Yuvvraaj, it took some time for us to get back to the shooting. Our initial plans were to come out in August, 2009, after the multiplex strike. But the makers in retrospect decided not to rush the release,” she informs, adding, “Only the music video was shot in November 2009.”

Post Right Ya Wrong, Kopphikar has two more films coming up for release — Hello Darling, a comedy again produced by Ghai that is scheduled for an April release and Ram Gopal Varma’s Shabri due in August, directed by Lalit Marathe. “Shabri is the kind of film that every actor would love to have on her portfolio. I’ve worked really hard on it and I’m glad that it’s finally releasing,” she asserts.

Reportedly, Shabri, in which she plays a woman gangster, was delayed due to problems between Varma and Adlabs. In the interim, director Marathe too parted ways with the maverick producer. However, Koppikhar says that Marathe will complete the post-production that has been pending since Shabri was stuck, three years ago. “I’m listening to other scripts too. As soon as I find something interesting, I’ll sign up,” she says. Has marriage to restaurateur Timmy Narang changed her in any way? “It’s been only three months. It’s too early. Timmy is a wonderful husband but marriage hasn’t changed him yet either.”
